Delivery Exceptions to Product Guarantee
Unfortunately, there are some situations that are entirely out of our control and for which we cannot guarantee our products. These situations include:
- Severe Weather and Other Acts of God: If delivery is delayed because of inclement weather or delivery becomes unavailable to a particular location, we will do our best to inform you of the problem and make alternate arrangements for delivery if at all possible.
- Delivery Refused by Recipient: If the intended recipient refuses to accept the delivery, we cannot guarantee a refund if the package contains perishable goods such as flowers or food. If the package is returned to us and is in salable condition, we will refund your purchase price minus any additional fees incurred.
- Recipient Absent at Time of Delivery: If the recipient is not available at the time of delivery, and depending upon the delivery location, the delivery person may leave a message or secure the gift in a safe place for the recipient to retrieve when they return. Perishable goods can be harmed by extreme temperatures, and flowers in particular need to be cared for promptly upon arrival. If you are unsure that someone will be available to accept the delivery when it arrives, please use the "Special Instructions" box on the order page to specify a neighbor or other secure location where your package may be left. Dot Flowers cannot be held responsible for packages damaged by exposure or neglect after delivery has been attempted.
- Incorrect or Incomplete Address Provided: Dot Flowers cannot be held responsible for deliveries to incorrect or incomplete addresses once the customer has verified the receiving location as correct. If the recipientÃs address is incorrect and the delivery was attempted but refused, the address can be corrected and delivery reattempted for an additional fee. If we received an incorrect address and the delivery was made, the customer assumes responsibility for the entire purchase. Incomplete addresses, particularly those intended for delivery to offices or apartment buildings, can substantially delay delivery. We will attempt to contact you as soon as we are notified of any difficulty with delivery, and if you cannot be reached, we will attempt to contact the recipient to request a corrected address. There may be additional fees if delivery must be reattempted. The condition of perishable items cannot be guaranteed in any of the above circumstances.
- Packages Left in Offices or Mail Rooms: Products sent to businesses or buildings where deliveries must be made to a central mail room or receptionist may be delayed internally. Generally, these are inhospitable environments for perishable goods. Please ensure your recipient knows to expect a delivery so that your package may be cared for as soon as possible upon arrival.

Same Day Delivery
Same day delivery is only available on Florist Direct products for orders placed before 2pm in the recipient's time zone, Monday through Friday. For same day delivery on Saturday, orders must be placed by 12pm in the recipient's time zone. Sunday delivery is limited and therefore not offered online. Specific Delivery Times
We cannot guarantee a specific time for delivery, but for Florist Direct products we can often arrange for delivery to occur within a designated time span of a few hours. If you would like to request a particular time of day, please include it in the "Special Instructions" box on the order page, and we will do our best to honor it. Normal weekday hours for Florist Direct deliveries begin at 9am and continue until 2pm for orders going to schools, 5pm for orders going to businesses, and 6pm for orders going to residences, hotels, or hospitals. Please review our advice on delivering to special locations for more information.
During major floral holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, many florists operate extended hours and delivery times are 8am-8pm.
Specific Delivery Dates
For Florist Direct products, we can guarantee your delivery date. All other products are delivered via FedEx or UPS, and while we do our best to ensure shipped products are delivered when specified, some items may have to be delivered earlier than expected to ensure maximum freshness.
Rarely will an order arrive after the specified delivery date. If your items are indeed delivered on a later day than expected and have not been effected by the factors listed above under our "Delivery Exceptions," we will refund all or part of any shipping fees you may have paid.
Weekend and Monday Delivery
Saturday delivery is available for most of our products. Items delivered on Saturday by FedEx or UPS may included an additional shipping fee. Saturday delivery to Alaska and Hawaii is available on most products for an additional fee.
To ensure maximum freshness, our gourmet cookies and a few of our floral arrangements are only available for delivery during the week and cannot be shipped over the weekend for delivery on Mondays.
Only Florist Direct products may be delivered on Sundays. Availability is limited and therefore not offered online. If you would like to arrange for a Sunday delivery, please contact our customer service department at 877 - 4 - DOT - DOT and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Certain locations require special consideration when arranging delivery. While we do our best to take the guess work out of placing an order, there are some personal details of which we may not be aware that can delay delivery of your purchase. Please review our location information to be sure your package can be delivered as requested.
High Schools
Schools generally do not accept deliveries for students; please send gifts for students to their home. Teachers' gifts can usually be delivered to their school's front office, but if the item is for same day delivery, it must be ordered in the early morning to ensure arrival before the school day ends. If you are sending your purchase to a school, please inform us by including this information in the "Special Instructions" box on the order page.
P.O. Boxes & A.P.O. Addresses
Currently, our deliveries require a physical address for delivery, and so we are unable to deliver packages to P.O. boxes or A.P.O. addresses.
Rural Routes and Remote Locations
If you are sending a package to a rural route address or a remote location where the street address does not correspond to the actual physical address at which your recipient may receive their package, please provide clarifying details like a description of the residence, major cross streets, or directions from a major intersection.
Occasionally, delivery to some locations may become unavailable, and we will do our best to contact you when this is the case. In some cases, delivery may be available for an additional fee; we will contact you if such a situation arises.
Funeral Homes, Memorial Services, Wakes, and Visitations
These orders are our very highest priority. Any information you can include to ensure timely delivery is helpful, particularly the name of the location and the person being honored, the time of the service or event, and any other details you may have available. This information can be placed in the "Special Instructions" box on the order page.
Alternatively, if you are unable to provide these details, we will do our best to contact the necessary parties and arrange for a successful delivery. For example, if your order was placed too late to make the funeral service, we will contact you as soon as possible so that you may make other arrangements or have something sent to the home of the family. If you do not know the zip code or exact address of the location, we will look it up for you. We will normally contact the receiving location to verify the time of the event and arrange for delivery. If you have selected a delivery date that is before the actual event, we will deliver according to the location's instructions.
It is vitally important that you select "Funeral" in the "Occasions" box on the order page so that we may provide your order with the attention it requires. For more information, please review our information regarding funeral flowers.
Currently, you may personally verify the status of your purchase in the order history page of your account services area. If you would like to be able to track your package in transit or would like to confirm delivery of your order, simply fill out the form below and we will respond as soon as possible.
When ordering items that contain wine or other alcoholic beverages, there are special restrictions regarding shipping. These items MUST be signed for by an adult, and due to local ordinances can only be delivered to the following states:

Dot Flowers offers several ways of delivering products, which are determined by the product ordered and the delivery date requested. Simply select the day you would like your item delivered, and we will select the necessary method of shipping. Currently, we offer same day delivery on Florist Direct products only. Otherwise, all other items will arrive via Next Day, Second Day Air, or Ground Shipping.
In order to ensure all our products arrive as fresh and lively as possible, most perishable products are only available via Next Day or Second Day Air for delivery during the week. Additional fees will apply for Saturday deliveries. Currently, we do not ship or deliver shipped products on Sundays, which means some products will not be available for Monday delivery. Deliveries to remote locations may take longer than expected.
Shipping, Service, and Handling Fees
Our prices do not include most shipping, service, and handling fees, which are calculated during checkout according to your selected delivery location and date. For example, Florist Direct products normally require a $10.99 service fee per arrangement, plus any applicable taxes. Shipped items, such as Field Fresh products and gift baskets, are charged according to the delivery date and size/cost of the item. You will be presented with the total cost of shipping before your order is submitted.
Additional fees apply for Saturday delivery and deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii.
